Conditions

Recognize what you’re dealing with.

Vein disease and cosmetic concerns are both common — and both more treatable than most people realize. Understanding the condition is the first step to addressing it.

Part 01 Vein Conditions

What’s happening below the surface.

Most leg vein problems trace back to one root cause: venous insufficiency. Understanding this makes the treatment options much clearer.

Most Common Vein Concern

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that bulge visibly beneath the skin — typically on the legs and feet. They develop when the one-way valves inside the vein weaken or fail, allowing blood to flow backward and pool. Over time, the vein stretches and becomes visibly distorted.

Symptoms include aching, heaviness, and swelling in the legs — often worse after prolonged standing. In advanced cases, skin changes, discoloration, and ulcers can develop. Many varicose vein treatments are covered by insurance.

Spider Veins

Spider veins (telangiectasias) are fine, web-like networks of red, blue, or purple vessels that appear close to the skin surface. They are most common on the legs and face. While usually cosmetic, spider veins on the legs can sometimes be associated with underlying venous insufficiency.

Sclerotherapy is the most effective treatment for leg spider veins. Laser therapy is used for facial veins and for vessels too small to inject. Most sessions are quick and require no anesthesia.

Root Cause

Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)

Chronic venous insufficiency is the underlying condition behind most varicose vein symptoms. When the valves inside leg veins fail to function properly, blood pools in the lower extremities rather than returning efficiently to the heart. Left untreated, CVI tends to progress.

CVI is diagnosed with duplex ultrasound, which allows us to see the valve function and reflux in real time. Treatment targets the source of reflux — not just the surface appearance — for lasting results. Most endovenous procedures are insurance-covered for CVI.

Part 02 Cosmetic Concerns

Skin, volume, and contour.

Every cosmetic concern we treat has a clinical solution — no hype, no sales pressure. Our team explains exactly what will work and why.

Dynamic Lines & Wrinkles

Expression lines — forehead, crow’s feet, frown lines, lip lines, neck bands — result from repeated muscle contractions over time. Botox and Dysport temporarily relax those muscles, softening lines within a week and lasting 3–4 months.

Volume Loss & Facial Contour

As we age, facial fat pads diminish and shift. Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm, Restylane) restore midface volume, lift nasolabial folds, define the jawline, add lip fullness, and address under-eye hollows. Results are immediate and reversible.

Laser & Resurfacing

Skin Texture & Tone

Sun damage, pigmentation irregularities, acne scars, enlarged pores, and rough texture respond well to laser resurfacing, Dermapen microneedling, and medical-grade chemical peels. Most patients see meaningful improvement in 2–3 sessions.

Stubborn Fat Deposits

Pockets of fat on the abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, arms, and submentum that resist diet and exercise can be precisely targeted with Smartlipo laser-assisted liposculpture. The laser melts fat and simultaneously tightens overlying skin — in-office, under local anesthesia.

Facial Veins & Redness

Broken capillaries, spider veins on the face, and diffuse facial redness can be effectively treated with laser therapy. The laser selectively targets the vessel, collapses it, and the body reabsorbs it — leaving surrounding skin unaffected.

Collagen Stimulation

Fine Lines & Laxity

Dermapen microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that trigger the skin’s natural collagen cascade. Over a series of monthly sessions, fine lines improve, pores tighten, and overall skin quality lifts — with no thermal energy or significant downtime.

Think you recognize your condition? Let’s confirm it.

A consultation — including diagnostic ultrasound for vein patients — gives you a clear picture of what’s happening and what to do about it. Most consultations are covered by insurance.
